lyrics

These times seem so perfect,
I don't know what to say.
I guess that's why
He made them this way.
With you lying there,
there's a mystic air
(yeah, there's a charge in the air).
It's like we're being painted by someone.
There's the snapshot they took
as they write the perfect book.

Let the Masters I work,
I'll smile 'til it hurts.

Part of me wants to say,
"Put your pens and your brushes away."
Because this moment in time
can't be captured by rhyme or line.

Oh, they're in love with the light,
the darks contrasting the whites
(yeah, it's like day vs. night)
This scene should be the subject of sculpture.
Set us in bas-relief, with you so close to me.

Let the Masters I work,
I'll smile 'til it hurts.

These times seem so perfect,
I don't know what to say -
(except 'doo-duh-doo-doo').
